The Jotron 4000 series defence radio system is intended for military communication applications, being designed as a multipurpose, multimode radio system covering both VHF and UHF ground to air frequency band. The 4000 series radio system meets the present and future requirements for ground to air communication.
The radios are designed completely modular, with a construction for very rugged environmental conditions, fitting standard 19”, 3U subracks. This defence radio system supports multimode operational requirements including AM and FM narrow band, voice and wideband data. In addition, they are prepared for MSK and D8PSK.
As this system is intended for military communication, it is prepared for Have Quick 1 & 2 operation, as well as being compatible with Link 11 and Vinson secure voice systems.
Designed to meet or exceed ICAO recommendations and international EMC standards, the 4000 series complies also to the following NATO requirements:
MIL-STD 188-243, MIL-STD 461D, MIL-STD 462D, STANAG 4205, STANAG 4372, STANAG 5511.
