Stig Erik Helland joined Jotron’s newly established Maritime Division on April 7. He comes from Zenitel, where he most recently held the role of SVP Product Management and Project Engineering.

Driving innovation in maritime safety

Jotron has experienced strong growth in the maritime market in recent years, driven by increased sales and a broader product portfolio. This development has been supported by strategic acquisitions of Jotron SKIPPER  (2023) and AD Navigation (2025), strengthening its maritime safety solutions. To build on this success, Stig Erik Helland has been appointed Director to lead continued expansion and reinforce Jotron’s position in the global maritime market.

Helland has a strong technical background, with a Master’s degree in Electronics from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), and brings extensive experience in product development, R&D, and technology leadership. He previously held several key leadership roles at Jotron until 2018.
