Airports worldwide require reliable, high-quality radio systems to ensure the safety of passengers and crews during landing, taxiing, and take-off. We design, develop, and produce market-leading systems for ground-to-air communications, including Ricochet, our world leading advanced system for recording, synchronous replay, and investigation of a wide range of interfaces at the controller position and beyond.

While an aircraft is at cruising altitude and en-route to their final destination, the communication is managed by Area Control Centers. These centers rely on radar data and radio communication with the pilots to uphold the safety and security of both passengers and crew while the aircraft is en-route. Our customers have entrusted us to deliver world leading VHF and UHF ground to air radio systems, Ricochet recording systems, and other vital equipment to these sites to help them ensure a safe journey.

One of the latest developments in the air traffic control industry is the advent of remote and digital towers. Jotron can deliver VHF and UHF radios, remote control systems and Ricochet recording systems to these towers. Presentation of video from remote towers is often on large video walls with multiple monitors. Ricochet accurately records all of this and also includes an elegant feature of stitching the whole recorded video wall into one large video file for easy replay in perfect sync.

At very busy airports the airlines often have their own control centres that communicate with the aircraft when they are on the ground. Our radio and remote control systems are well-suited for such operations. Jotron has assisted several airlines with robust, secure, and high-quality communication systems for aircraft ground operations.
